The Flintstones, with his “yabba..dabba..doo..” typical is one of the American cartoon character that became popular in 1960s and well-known by the world until now as an entertain character.  The Flintstones is about a working class Stone Age man’s life with his family and his next door neighbor and best friend. Talking about Flintstones, we will remember of his Stone Age background. The age when people live together side by side with dinosaurs and the other animal. If we saw the furniture in that film, it would remember us to furniture style called Rustic.

Rustic style, some people called it Flintstones style, for some people this design is very enthused because of its natural design and always show up before the ancient impression. But when in Flintstones film, the furniture is made by stone. Rustic furniture usually made by wood. To show the Flintstones style, the wood only need to be cut flat just for the ergonomic need such as top table, chair, etc. Rustic is not like other styles of furniture (i.e. traditional or contemporary). It is not usually ornate or gilded, nor does it have the predictable lines or patterns we’ve come to expect in “conventional” furniture.   A rustic chair can look like it has grown out of the floor with twisted legs and unparalleled stretchers and back braces.

Rustic furniture often recycles itself. Old barns are scavenged for wood, which is fashioned into tables, chests and anything the craftsman can envision.  If you want the most natural appearance, choose unfinished furniture. But there is a weakness which is without any layer, so the furniture is unprotected from the weather. Teak furniture is the appropriate because its material is strong and last in every weather, even unprotected one. Rustic very suitable to be not only garden furniture but also outdoor furniture.
